Superintendent’s Message – March 6, 2020
In light of the outbreak and concern over the COVID-19, I have been struggling with stories that students and/or adults may be stigmatizing other members of our community.

In light of the outbreak and concern over the COVID-19, I have been struggling with stories that students and/or adults may be stigmatizing other members of our community.
Any and all students who are healthy and not showing any symptoms of fever, coughing, pain when breathing or other universal signs of illness SHOULD ATTEND for continuity of their education.
As we continue to work our way through the Coronavirus/COVID-19 situation, I encourage all parents to read the attached information provided for families by the Oregon Health Authority.
The Superintendent has written a letter to the parents and patrons of the Pendleton School District about the coronavirus and our current response.
The InterMountain ESD has compiled some basic information about the Coronavirus for the IMESD component school districts.
Laan came to Pendleton from Caldwell, Idaho, where she taught 3rd Grade for the past two years. Prior to that, she taught 1st Grade at Highland Hills Elementary in Hermiston.
A new employee, but not new to the district, Bradley worked the past 16 years as a school psychologist for the IMESD, serving the Pendleton School District.
McCaleb grew up on the Olympic Peninsula in Port Angeles, Washington. Upon graduation, he accepted a scholarship to BMCC and participated on the Rodeo Team.
Harwell grew up in Moriarty, New Mexico. She is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Arts in University Studies with an emphasis in Business and Psychology.
Originally from Pendleton, Lewis moved to Kiona-Benton. Upon graduation from high school, she returned to Pendleton to attend BMCC on a rodeo scholarship.
